Growmark, Solinftec Partner to Increase Efficiency
Since 2018, Solinftec has been investing in artificial intelligence and has ultimately introduced ALICE. An artificial intelligence assistant ALICE is designed to work with farmers to integrate and process machinery, people, climate, and relevant external inputs. The technology calculates a farmer’s ultimate needs/objectives and delivers real-time actionable recommendations. To date, Solinftec has 20 million acres using its solution.
By teaming up with Brazilian-based Solinftec, GROWMARK will be able to help FS member companies become more efficient by getting a farmer’s fields applied quicker and more accurately.
“Solinftec has proven to be successful with large growers in Brazil and our footprint is similar,” says Lance Ruppert, director of agronomy marketing technology for GROWMARK. “They are hands on and pragmatic in their approach, which matches what we need for success. They also have hardware that works on all equipment and can be utilized at the grower level, as well aid in the future full transparent operations between grower and retailer.”
“We know time in and out of the field is valuable,” says Mark Orr, GROWMARK vice president of agronomy. “This partnership will use data collection and artificial intelligence to develop logistical models to maximize efficiencies, while utilizing real-time alerts to enhance accuracy of applications and lower risk.”
