Vermeer and John Deere updates coming to 'Farming Simulator 22'

Giants Software, the video game developers behind Farming Simulator 22, announced new machinery and a map coming to the game at FarmCon.

Platinum Edition

Farming Simulator 22: Platinum Edition was among the announcements at FarmCon. This new version of the game will have everything included in the original version of Farming Simulator 22, as well as a new map and additional vehicles.

The new map, Silverrun Forest, is inspired by the Pacific Northwest with vast forests, lakes and ponds to develop your farm on. Players will be able to harvest and plant new types of trees while taking on new missions to develop points of interest across the map.

Also added with the Platinum Edition are 40 new vehicles and tools, from John Deere, Komatsu and more, including the introduction of vehicles from Volvo. 

The Platinum Edition will include all the new updates, and the base version of Farming Simulator 22. It will be available November 15 for $49.99. For owners of the original game, the updates will be available as the Platinum Expansion for $19.99.

Vermeer Pack

Vermeer will be joining Farming Simulator 22’s massive fleet with five new vehicles, including the ZR5, the world’s first self-propelled baler.

Here are all the machines included in the pack:

• Vermeer ZR5-1200 self-propelled baler
• Vermeer TM1410 trailer mower
• Vermeer BPX9010 bale processor
• Vermeer R2800 twin rake
• Vermeer 605N baler

The Vermeer Pack launches August 23 for $7.99, and is also included with the Year 1 Season Pass for $39.99. 

Pumps N’ Hoses Pack

From third-party developer Creative Mesh, the Pumps ‘N Hoses pack is adding umbilical systems, manure separation, and configurable biogas plants. 

Players can now implement umbilical systems on the farm. Combine hoses that span hundreds of meters to cover fields for efficient fertilization, and improve pumping conditions with extra water tanks and compressors. 

Liquid manure separators are also added in the pack, allowing players more choice with application of resources. Multiple stationary and mobile separators are available. 

The Pumps N’ Hoses Pack launches September 27 for $17.99.

Free John Deere tractors

Two John Deere tractors have been added for free download in the Farming Simulator ModHub. First is the classic John Deere 710 tractor. With only a few thousand produced between 1965 and 1968, this may be your only chance to drive one. The other model added is the Series 5M tractor, a tractor in the 75-115 HP segment made with a focus on versatility.

Both tractors are available to download for free now in the ModHub.
