Levi Kokes needed drawer-type storage for a welding bench that was fire-resistant and safe. He decided reused filing cabinet drawers would be perfect. He tack-welded the rails from the cabinet to pieces of angle iron and then welded the angle iron to the welding bench frame.

If you're looking to find a way to organize, store, and carry all the heavy/bulky 1-inch impact tools around your shop, use this idea from Joseph Skroch. Using a two-wheel dolly, weld several angle irons with spaced 6-inch rods to the front, sides, and bottom.

If you need a way to store grinders, buffers, and other tools that tend to keep your welding table messy, use this solution from Gary Kruger. Build a three-leg holder using rebar, weld hooks to the stand and weld washers to the legs to linchpin it to the welding table.

To easily make a cheap electric fence post, Nathan Lunde took ¼ inch rebar and a used double spring harrow tooth and welded the rebar (length as needed) to the center of the harrow tooth placed vertically. He then slid a screw tight adjustable insulator(s) onto the rod.
