2020 growing season recap with Tama County, Iowa farmer

At the start of the 2020 growing season, Blaine Groth was optimistic. He looked forward to his ninth cropping season with his dad. The Groths farm corn, soybeans, alfalfa, and oats in Tama County, Iowa.

Spring began smoothly. The farming duo had the best planting conditions either of them could remember. In early May, the emerging crops looked promising. Unfortunately, the season went downhill from there.
