Background

After starting my career as a staff reporter at a small business newspaper, I was named managing editor of five community newspapers at 26, then moved to DTN (agriculture news). From there I was hired at Bloomberg News to cover agriculture, food and other commodities. I was a reporter and editor for almost eight years at Bloomberg before being hired by The Wall Street Journal in a similar capacity. Left the WSJ to start a freelance career as we wanted to move around and have been writing for Successful Farming since 2015.
