Today is country music singer Reba McEntire’s birthday. Originally from Oklahoma, she learned to sing with her family on drives home from her father’s rodeos. Her break came in 1974 after she was hired to perform the national anthem at the National Finals Rodeo in Oklahoma City and was noticed by country artist Red Steagall.
