Mahindra's heavy built Roxor side-by-side
Mahindra is relaunching its Roxor off-road side-by-side, targeting farmers and ranchers seeking a simple and durable work vehicle.

Simple, steel, and strong
A boxed steel frame, steel body, solid axle, and leaf spring suspension differentiate the Roxor from competitive plastic-bodied side-by-sides.
Open wheel wells and 9 inches of ground clearance help operators tackle mud, snow, brush, and other obstacles around their property.
The 96-inch wheelbase gives the machine stability over uneven terrain. The Roxor is 75 inches tall and 148 inches long.
Diesel power, manual transmission
A 2.5L, four-stroke turbo diesel engine provides 62 hp. and 144 lb.-ft. of torque. The low revving engine is quiet enough to comfortably converse with a passenger.
“So many [competitive] side-by-side engines are high revving. Some of them are the same engines that are in snowmobiles and wave runners. They’re high revving, high-RPM engines. Our turbo diesel isn’t. It’s the opposite of that,” explains Rich Ansell, vice president of marketing.
Engine braking helps operators safely descend steep inclines.
A five-speed manual transmission with 2- or 4-wheel-drive selections gives operators maximum control.
Designed to work
This machine can “effortlessly” tow up to 3,490 pounds, explain product experts, leading the category in towing capacity.
The Roxor’s fixed cargo box has a payload capacity of 349 pounds.
A 12-gallon fuel tank allows farmers and ranchers to work all day without refueling. Top speed is 55 mph.
Other Roxor features
Both models are available in red or black color schemes.
Roxor is equipped with halogen headlights. Additional lighting kits are available through third parties.
An adjustable seat helps to accommodate drivers of all sizes.
All-weather Roxor model
The all-weather Roxor has a composite cab and is equipped with HVAC. Other upgraded features include a polycarbonate windshield, windshield wipers, an 8,000-pound Warn winch, and an upgraded bumper. Rather than the standard steel wheels, the all-weather machine has 16-inch aluminum wheels.
The all-weather Roxor weighs 3,330 pounds.
Roxor price and availability
In light of current supply chain challenges, the company is taking a phased approach launching Roxor with availability at about 70 dealerships to start. Production has begun in Auburn Hills, Michigan, with units shipping to select dealers in early November.
“Initial dealer response has been overwhelming with initial orders exceeding expectations,” says Mike Dragoievic of Mahindra.
Suggested retail price is $18,899 for the base Roxor and $26,299 for the all-weather model.
