Corteva has plans to acquire Huston-based biologicals company, Stoller Group.

“In combination with Corteva’s leading innovation organization, Stoller provides a platform for expanding and accelerating Corteva’s biologicals business to become one of the largest players in the rapidly expanding  biologicals market.” says Chuck Magro, chief executive officer at Corteva.

Bill introduced to expand E15 sales

U.S. senators from Nebraska and Minnesota introduced legislation on Tuesday that would expand nationwide sales of E15, a gasoline with a higher blend of ethanol, after gaining support for the bill from an oil industry trade group for the first time, Senator Deb Fischer from Nebraska told Reuters.

USDA changes crop insurance

USDA announced updates to the crop insurance programs for oats, rye, and silage sorghum today.

Farmers raising oats and rye are eligible for revenue protection beginning next crop year.

The Silage Sorghum Pilot Endorsement will be a permanent program starting in 2023.
