Case IH releases upgraded hay balers based on farmer feedback

Case IH has announced upgrades to their long-running series of small square balers and round balers, as well as a new Pro series of round balers.

“Each addition or upgrade we’ve made has been driven by what growers want and need from their hay equipment,” says Brian Spencer, hay and forage equipment marketing manager for Case IH. “With this new, customer-focused lineup, we’re proud to say that Case IH offers a suite of hay tools for every kind of operation.”

Round baler lineups

The RB6 HD Pro series of balers are the newest addition to Case IH’s family of hay tools. This series is designed to tackle wet and heavy silage, and handle higher annual bale counts over other Case IH baler series. The RB6 HD Pro can operate at higher speeds, with fewer moving parts and chains for minimal maintenance.

Other features in the Pro series include a new heavy-duty drive system and main gear box. It also has a wide, 82-inch 5-bar pickup. Farmers are now able to separately set core and outer bale densities from the cab.

Round baler models outside of the pro series have also received some upgrades. The RB565 Premium is now offered with a heavy-duty drive option, with larger chains and sprockets, as well as a larger main gear box and higher capacity cutout clutch.

The RB456A, designed for lower-count bale producers, features a 30% wider pickup, a stuffer feeding system, and upgrades to the wrapping system.

Square baler lineup

The original lineup of SB small square balers has received some “smart” features to improve bale length consistency and to track data.

The new small square electronic bale length control system option is designed for greater consistency in bale length and to make transportation of uniform bales easier. Case IH also offers the option for more personal data tracking like bale count, average flakes per bale, average length of bale, bales per hour, and more.

The new round balers and small square balers are available to order now. For more information, visit CaseIH.com
